Servings: Makes 2 long rolls โ about 12โ16 slices each
๐ Dough Ingredients:
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour ๐พ
- ยฝ tsp salt ๐ง
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar ๐ฌ
- 1 packet (7g) instant dry yeast
- 1 stick + 2 tbsp (150g) unsalted butter, cold & cubed ๐ง
- โ cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt) ๐ฅ
- 1 egg yolk ๐ฅ
- ยฝ cup milk (lukewarm) ๐ฅ
๐ฐ Walnut Filling (Diรณs):
- 1ยผ cups ground walnuts
- ยฝ cup sugar
- โ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon ๐
- Optional: a handful of raisins soaked in rum or water ๐
๐ Poppy Seed Filling (Mรกkos):
- 1ยผ cups ground poppy seeds
- ยฝ cup sugar
- โ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 orange ๐
- Optional: chopped dried fruits (apricots, raisins)
